Exploring Pangasinan! We visited Sky Plaza in Natividad Pangasinan Built on the hillsides facing the majestic Caraballo Mountains, Sky Plaza is a public park and view deck where visitors can enjoy sweeping scenes of Natividad and its neighboring towns. It is a popular hangout spot with adequate facilities: picnic tables, pay toilets, a small sari-sari store, a chapel, and even a 120-meter zip line attraction. It is likewise the jump-off point to the short but challenging trek up Ayat ni Apo Jesus, a pilgrimage site featuring a Christ the Redeemer statue standing on top of a hill. After that, we headed to Malico, a mountain village in this eastern Pangasinan town, can be one of the country’s new summer destinations with the completion this year of the Pangasinan-Nueva Vizcaya Road. Nestled on the top of the Caraballo mountains, Malico can now be reached by land travel in 1.5 hours from this town. The rehabilitation of the 22.3-kilometer Pangasinan segment of the Pangasinan-Nueva Ecija Road, also known as the Villa Verde trail, began in 2015. Unfortunately, we are unable to locate the Malico View Point but we still enjoyed the trip because of the fascinating nature view. Music: Tropic Musician: Jef
