Scite https://scite.ai/home is a nifty tool that helps you find research that supports specific statements. Ideal for researchers and postgraduate students. There are two ways to go about using this bot: 1. If you are happy to subscribe, sign up for the Free Trial. You’ll need to add your credit card details to access the free trial but can cancel before the seven days are over if this is not for you. Log in and see what’s inside. You can ask a question, and Scite will give you research statements that are related to the research question. From there, you can find more research. It is almost like ChatGPT, but will give you real citations from the research with links to the full-text papers. You can also use the Citation Statement Search function to find research statements and their citations. A great way to find relevant research on your favourite topic! 2. If you prefer to go the free route, add the Scite extension to your Chrome Browser and pin it. When you go onto a blog post or a scientific research page, look out for the Scite badge. Highlight a statement and see if there is supporting research for the statement. You can see how many times the research has been cited in studies supporting or negating its findings. Quite useful if you want to create a balanced literature review. What does it cost? Bummer, there’s a cost to this one. You can pay monthly or annually.
