Maamoul cookies are known as Arabic cookies. This cookie is made with semolina, dates and plain flour. It is very famous in the Middle East during EID and Holidays. Ingredients
For Dough
Fine Semolina(Sooji) - 500 g
All-Purpose Flour - 2cup (250 gm)
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Mahlab Powder - 1 tsp
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Warm Milk - 125 ml(1/2 cup)
Ghee (Clarified Butter)- 300 ml
Extra Milk - 2 tbsp
For Dates Filling
Dates Paste - 500 g
Mahlab Powder - 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon Powder- 1/2 tsp
Butter - 1 tbs
For Decoration
Powder sugar
Pistachio powder
Pre-heat & Bake @ 180 C / 350 F for 15-20 mins
