Soya Chana Dal Chat - Soybean Chat | Soybean Chat Recipe - Healthy Breakfast
Ingredients
• Soya beans - 1 bowl
• Tomatoes/tamatar(chopped) - 1 bowl
• Onions/pyaaz(chopped) - 1 bowl
• Coriander leaves/ dhaniya patta(chopped) - 2 tablespoons
• Green chili/ hari mirch(chopped) - 1 tablespoon
• Green coriander/ dhaniya chutney - 2 tablespoons
• Sweet tamarind/ imli chutney - 2 tablespoons
• Oil/ tel - 1 tablespoons
• Spices/ masale - Red chilli powder/ lal mirch - 1/4 teaspoon, turmeric powder/ haldi - 1/4 teaspoon, chat masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon, roasted cumin/ bhuna hua jeera powder - 1/2 teaspoon
• Water/ pani - 1/2 cup
• Salt/ namak to taste
Instructions
1. Wash and soak the soya beans for 10 minutes then Boil the soya beans in a pressure cooker with the lid. l Take the first whistle on high flame and the next four whistles on medium flame.
2. Once it is pressure cooked, drain out the excess water and take the soya beans in a bowl.
3. Heat oil in a pan. Add soya beans and saute. Then add all the spices, salt and a half cup of water.
4. Mix it well. When it reaches a boiling point, switch off the flame. (The water has to evaporate and reduce in quantity)
5. Take this mixture into a bowl, add the chopped vegetables and mix it nicely.
6. Soya bean chaat is ready to be served. Garnish with green chutney and tamarind chutney.
