We will need:
400 g of ground beef
2-3 tomatoes
1 potato
1 onion
1 chili (or bell) pepper
1 eggplant (aubergine)
Parsley
and 125 g of tomato sauce
To make the meat mixture:
- Mix the ground beef with half of an onion (diced), minced parsley, peeled and diced tomato, two mashed garlic cloves, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cubeb.
To prepare the layers:
-Cut the potato, eggplant, quarter of an onion, and tomato into medium thin slices.
- Into a bowl, add the potato, eggplant, and onion slices. And dress them with 1 mashed garlic clove, a little of vegetable oil, thyme, black pepper, and salt.
- Into a baking dish, layer the potato, onion, and eggplant slices, in this order.
- Press the meat mixture on top of it.
- Layer the tomato and the rest of the eggplant slices.
To make the sauce:
- Mix the tomato sauce with salt and black pepper.
- Add the sauce into the baking dish.
- And add the pepper on top.
- Bake it for 45-50 min on 180°C/350°F.
Now, it is ready to be served.
